Shannon Elaine Gilvey, Esq.
Shannon Gilvey is an attorney practicing law in workers’ compensation, with a focus on Defense Base Act cases.
Ms. Gilvey graduated Cum Laude from The University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology & Law. Ms. Gilvey also earned a degree in law from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law, where she graduated Cum Laude.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Gilvey worked as a paralegal in the areas of family law and criminal law, where she advanced her advocacy and communication skills. Furthermore, while attending law school, Ms. Gilvey served as a judicial intern for two semesters for the 17th Judicial Circuit Court, Felony Division. Where she attended and observed hearings, trials, and sentencing proceedings.
Ms. Gilvey was invited to be a member of Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law’s Pro-Bono Honor Program for completing at least 50 hours of pro bono service.
