Deborah Caputo’s career journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University. Building on her passion for justice, she pursued her Juris Doctor at Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law.

During her time at law school, Ms. Caputo’s leadership shone brightly. She served as the Law School Affiliate for the Florida Bar Young Lawyer Division, representing Shepard Broad College of Law with distinction for two years. Her dedication to student governance was evident as she held roles in the Student Bar Association, progressing from a representative in her first year to the Vice-President in the subsequent year. Ms. Caputo’s leadership extended beyond student government; she also assumed pivotal roles as President and Vice President in several organizations during her tenure at NSU's Shepard Broad College of Law.

Ms. Caputo worked all through law school as a law clerk in a family law practice. She put her legal studies into practice in real time at the firm and assisted with all stages of family law litigation. After law school and being admitted to practice by the Florida Bar, Ms. Caputo began her legal practice at the family law firm. She participated in all stages of the cases from settlement negotiations to state trials.

As an attorney at Attorneys Jo Ann Hoffman & Associates, Ms. Caputo specializes in the Defense Base Act, advocating ardently for the rights of injured workers. As an attorney with a multicultural background, Ms. Caputo as drawn to the Defense Base Act specialty to fight for injured workers in international employment, whether in the United States or abroad. Driven by her unwavering commitment to justice, Ms. Caputo channels her passion into her legal practice. Her approach is rooted in her dedication to making a positive impact for each client and tirelessly fighting for the best possible outcome.
